Are associations between items not created automatically during batch processing?

Sorry we're not all pros here, so please explain in simple terms what you mean.

When one uses batch copy —and changes the language for the copy—, one has to edit the item copied. That has to be done, for all items, associated or not.

Therefore, what can be done in the present situation is (for contents):

Batch copy to another language the categories filtered by one language.
Batch copy to the new categories and the other language all articles filtered by category and original language.

Then use com_associations to work in a single UI to associate AND edit all the new items.

Similar for menu items etc.

So, yes, adding a way to associate copied items when copy to another category AND changing language are chosen would save working time and simplify work in com_associations.

Needs some work — and volunteer— to implement.

Hi,

I'd say this feature is a requirement to work easily with multilingual sites. For now, I think we'll try to go back to using FaLang, since that makes export/import of language content trivial, without the need for manual administration.
