How to solve the repetition meta descriptions of pages

Hello,
Can someone tell me how to solve this problem:
I made web site in Joomla 3.2.0 , after i changed the content of the meta description for every pages , they remained unchanged in the source code, what to do?

Also, how to avoid the repetition of titles and meta descriptions, look at this is what I got on Webmaster Tools:

There are many places to add meta descriptions in Joomla and some will override others. It is a bit confusing. There are meta description boxes for individual articles, categories, and at the menu item level. Remove the global one for your site - then test some of the different levels with different words - like "Article Level", "Category Level" or "Menu Item Level" and see which overrides the others. See what is going on, then quickly fix the one you are testing before it gets indexed that way. It is also different for Single Articles vs. Category Lists and Blogs.

I have come to think that maybe it is good to not have meta data description in the Global Configuration for the whole site because I have read that Google will penalize your site for repetitious descriptions. I read a blog from Matt Cutts, a Google SEO expert, that it is better to have no meta description than to have a global one for all your pages. I still need to go back to all my sites and take the global one out.

I removed The global and changed for all pages meta description but in the sore code I have still seen the old meta description that was as Global .

I had similar experiences.
Since SEO is so critical and Joomla's implementation is either flaky or impenetrable (not sure which) I've just been using an extension to get the SEO situation under easy control. Not trying to push their product, but Tag Meta Community solved this problem for me and I haven't looked back, part of my standard build now.

Yes, the global meta tags should be removed all together, you never want the same on all pages.

What kind of pages are these. I don't know if you add tags to a blog menu item if they populate the article pages if those are left blank.

It is site for Real Estate.
I don't know what to do, because inside The pages, Meta description have changed, but in the sorce code of the pages is still the old, that is no longer at all on my site.
Some pages are immediately accepted amendments, and some pages have its source code unchanged.

What template are you using? Maybe it is being set in there and not pulling in the info from each article. Some third-party templates are not well thought out.

I used Joomla default.
It is not clear how some pages accept changes, and some do not...

I had the luxury of being able to clone the entire VM host of the site with the SEO problem, and used the clone to systematically strip out all the extensions to try to isolate the cause of the meta breakage, in the end I was left with nothing but bare box-stock Joomla and the problem remained.

I wonder if there is some level of debug/logging that could be enabled to find the root cause. I still have the VM.

This seems to be an ongoing issue, I found a few old threads on the topic on various fora, for both 2.5 and 3.x versions, none with resolutions better than "install an SEO extension."

How i can resolve the repetition of meta description and page titles?
Cause every day i have it more and more...
For example what to do that links with this content like "?" or "=" or some numbers thats showen after index.pp like this "/index.php/prodaja/148-jednosoban-stan-prodaja-krivi-most-podgorica"

I haven't had any problems controlling meta since installing free Tag Meta Community extension, has some nice features, but I'm sure it's not the only good option.

I meant to ask - when you say you are looking at the source code - are you pulling up the source code from your browser or are you just referring to what Google has indexed for those pages? It takes some time for Google to change what it has indexed and may not reflect your <meta> tag changes for some time.

Thanks for asking... yes, I understand , but it is shown in the page sorce too.

I noticed the pages that has the old meta content only pages that are generated from JEA (Joomla Estate Agency component).

Thanks for an advice.
I installed Mijo SEF, it can resolve the repetition of URLs, but the old global mete descriptions are still in the meta descriptions of my pages.

What to to?...

step-2 clear all cache items
step-3 write all metadata as u desire.
step-3 clear all cache item once again.
step-4 view your site and press ctrl+f5

Oh, I've just now done it all, step by step, but all is the same...This is unbelievable.
