Being 'home' is common, there is nothing more you can do with the URL to enhance SEO. Best to focus on content

If you have www.mysite.com and www.mysite.com/home, you can redirect the second one to the first one.

This is what I was waiting for , SO SIMPLE !If you have www.mysite.com and www.mysite.com/home, you can redirect the second one to the first one.
Logically that should get rid of the duplicate content of the first page for SEO. No ?
What you guys think of that ?

Just add this to your .htaccess and it should work:
Code: Select all
Redirect 301 /home /

Re: www.mysite.com and the home menu, what to do for SEO?
Well I will prefer to redirect “Home” to www.mysite.com
Nobody want to comment on this?
If I remember well, (tell me if I’m wrong) google see “www.mysite.com” & www.mysite.com/home (when you click on the “home” menu as 2 separate url that, in fact, present the same content?
