BEST for SEO

Post by idizajn » Wed Mar 25, 2015 5:06 pm

I know this is stupid question but I was wondering which SEO joomla extension is the best to use.

Not the easiest but more powerfull which will provide best results after correct set up.

Also, is there need for one of those at all or I can all those functions create in core joomla and files with some small tweaking?

I think if you ask for the best it can be relative, depend on personal tasted. JED is the best page for extensions review from users to users. so you can go to JED http://extensions.joomla.org/

I have been using Joomla for 10 years. I have had experience with a whole range of plugins and components.

My opinion is that you don't need any of them to achieve your goals of a site that is optimized for search engines.

1. Make sure you have a good menu structure.
2. Optimize your site for speed.
3. Turn on the SEF settings in the global configuration area
4. Write good content - that is structured well
5. Use the metadescription and metatags areas in the articles.
6. Get a good site map generator
7. Use Google Webmaster tools to see where you are weak on the site, and follow any suggestions it has
8. Do not - under any circumstances - try to fool or game Google. You cannot - and it will result in Google banning you.

SEO is not rocket science. All it takes is some diligence and you will be fine.

I am very agree with you, and I have did like you said above :)
Good content / niche content is also the best thing that you can do.

But sometimes static website with little content can get number one ranking, so never frustated and just going on.

i also like learn from www.joomlaseo.com, they have good article for optimization SEO in Joomla!

Ready here: http://magazine.joomla.org/issues/issue ... la-website
If you can't do it with Joomla Core, sh404sef is recommended. In fact sh404sef is SEO plugin you must have for any Joomla webiste
