Re: pagerank
If you mean the Google Page Rank, than this value is no longer useful because it will not be updated by Google anymore.

Re: pagerank
Sorry I don't understand your question. Do you like to check if a website is a “good” website in the few of Google? If so what does mean “good” for you. The PageRank was only an indicator on how much link point to that page. Bur do not tell if the quality of the content is good or worthwhile.seki24 wrote:yes, i mean that. o, thx sudo-web. how i can get know what is google take like good quality web?

Re: pagerank
Ok, now I know what you mean. Like Building should be a natural process. So dependent on what is the topic on your page it would be worthwhile or not. I post here a link to a Page because this could be helpful for you https://moz.com/beginners-guide-to-seo/ ... -and-links than this link is good for both.
But if I link to a page that has nothing to do with his topic, but the owner ask me to link to his page, that link can be considered as bad. Because how would a link to good Cinema movie help you now? You get the point?
So if you have a link from a serious resource that where the link is in context to your website this is always a worthwhile link.
Of course there are a lot of other things that you have to take in account. But because this is generally a Joomla! Forum, I would say that this discussion would be off topic.

Well explained! This is what many of us cant able to understand that likability is not only a factor, we also have to keep in mind some other points.sudo-web wrote: But if I link to a page that has nothing to do with his topic, but the owner ask me to link to his page, that link can be considered as bad. page rank means on which rank your website stand right now. It is evaluated between 0 to 10. PR 0 means good rank.

you're wrong, PR 0 = no ranknaveenssdn wrote:page rank means on which rank your website stand right now. It is evaluated between 0 to 10. PR 0 means good rank.
PR 10 = excellent rank
but Majestic DA/TA or AHREFS are better parameters to follow for Website SEO.

Re: pagerank
I think relying on PR is no longer effective SEO nowadays. Check this article:
http://searchengineland.com/rip-google- ... ive-244286
You must pursue all natural (somehow) links.

Re: pagerank
PR (Page Rank) determines the importance of a page. It is a important part of SEO.

Is this a fact or an opinion? Please quote the source of your information. If you cannot quote your source then I do not think this as "important" as you say.KavithaPanicker wrote:PR (Page Rank) determines the importance of a page. It is a important part of SEO.

Re: pagerank
now use PA (Page Authority), DA (Domain Authority), TF (Trust Flow), CF (Citation Flow)...
those indicators are the best to define the rank of a page... and PR is dead since 2y now!

Moz has really fallen behind Ahrefs and Majestic in my opinion.jessicacyrus1 wrote:PR isn't working more. you can check Moz DA and PA of your site.
Also; PageRank is still used as an internal ranking factor at Google (confirmed by Gary Illyes), but it hasn't been publicly updated since 2013. Presumably because they don't want people to focus on that.

I find Alexa useful in gauging or getting an approximation of a site's PR.

Re: pagerank
Hi,
As I am understanding your question that you want to know how to find that a website has enough quality to get a link?
Right.
Let me tell you that Google page rank is no longer valuable right now. You need to check the following metrics while checking the quality of a webpage.
1) Moz Rank
2) Domain And Page Authority (DA Must be 20)
3) Trust Flow and Citation Flow
4) Inbound Links and Outbound links.
5) Neighbour links ( Is the webpage is getting links from quality websites)
6) Domain Rank through Ahrefs.com

It will be very interesting to see how Google will adjust its algorithm to weight the inbound links as a ranking signal.
