why is my site mobile unfriendly?

When I do a check I get the following:

Your page is not mobile friendly.
The content is wider than the screen
The links are to close to one another.

Anybody any idea what I can do?
I tried to remove a few items from my menu but that was not the solution. Please help

I have had the same report about the content being wider than the screen with the experimental beta of the w3c checker when it is perfectly ok.

The only links that look to me as being too close together are the social media icons in the footer 9and they are too close on the desktop as well.

You have the wrong robots.txt. /templates/ is blocked, so Google cannot read the mobile version. Use the new file robots.txt.dist
