How to show kunena in a new template?

Hello,

I am working with joomla 2.5.28 to host our kunena forum. I need to update to J 3.3 and one of the troubles I got it is the template does not run on J 3, so I have created a new template able work on J 2.5 and 3.3, but kunena forum does not show up in main content.
Now there is no module to render kunena in our forum, so I have no idea what to do to show this extension as main content. How can I make kunena as main content?

1) If Kunena is not showing on any menu link than you have not made a correct template.
2) If you have Kunena showing in your template on a menu link make that link the default home page

I thought my template wasnt the correct one, but it was my fault
On menu item I had selected as blog instead of home page rendering to kunena
