Code: Select all
<?php if( JRequest::getVar( 'view' ) == 'category' ): ?> ... <?php endif; ?>
Also assign it to the menu item that is the Category view and create menu items for the Articles in a 'hidden' menu. The Article pages will not then inherent the Category menu item settings.arvendal wrote:...
I do assign the module to "home" i e the frontpage. But I also want it to appear on an another meny item, but only in category view, not article view...

I suppose there's a PHP statement that would express "display this on category view OR frontpage view" but I am not that educated in PHP....
Code: Select all
<?php if( JRequest::getVar( 'view' ) == 'category' or == 'featured' ): ?> ... <?php endif; ?>
Code: Select all
<?php if( JRequest::getVar( 'view' ) == 'category') or if(condition): ?> ... <?php endif; ?>
All Joomla menus are (in essence) 'Hidden' until a menu Module (for the menu) is published to a position.arvendal wrote:... I didn't know it was possible to create hidden menus. Thanks for the advice!
