Possible bug when adding an alternative menu item

After creating an alternative menu item, and selecting It from the backend, It generates the URL link with the layout parameter prefixed with template name.

E.g.: For this menu item
templates/protostar/html/com_content/form/myedit.xml
templates/protostar/html/com_content/form/myedit.php

It generates the following URL:

index.php?option=com_content&view=form&layout=protostar:myedit

Anybody had the same issue?
