View pdfs inline with joomla

I enabled the Content Pdf Embed plugin in the joomla 3.2 application I installed on a goDaddy server and followed the techjoomla instructions that popped up, to include My File in the article that is published. But the url breaks when the link is selected: http://www.mydomain.com/path/%3Cembed%20src=
FYI this plugin may have been intended to override a client browser setting that prompts users to download the file, but it doesn't work. The solution was to check my Firefox settings and fix an error in how it handles PDF files. I could probably write a program to embed the file but that's another problem for another day.

A duct tape fix would be to just load the PDF itself in an iframe within the article.
