How to manage Admin Template

I cannot find much information about how to modify or create an admin template. I wanted to add some field to the article creation page but I am not sure where to do that.

Any pointer in the right direction would be appreciated. Also should I post here for template creation? Or in the dev section?

- back-end/templates manager/ see in column :Administrator and select option with default.
- if need edit more, you can change in the source code.
