Building a software download site with multiple tags

Hi,

I am trying to build a download site with multiple tags. The idea is that there is software that I want to give specific tags for there objective, let's say A B and C.

Some of the softwares run on multiple operating systems like X Y and Z.

So there can be almost any possible combination like A Y Z or A B Z.

Because it is impossible to put an article into multiple categories I am a bit lost about how to manage this now.

I thought about using tags only but therefor I would need a filter for multiple tags so people can make a choice for the operating system and then about what they look for.

But the basic tag system does not allow multiple choices with tags.

Does anyone got an idea and might help me? As long as it is clear what I am looking for, because it is hard for me to descibe it in english...

Thank you, but it is not possible to filter for more than one tag at once.
