Are there any RSS Syndicator extensions for Joomla 3?
Are there any RSS Syndicator extensions for Joomla 3? I was using Ninja Syndicator with Feedburner when working with Joomla 2.5 but Ninja won't work with Joomla 3. I need a syndicator, not an RSS Feed Reader as I need to send content to my subscribers rather than input content from other sites to mine. I intend to use Mailchimp as the broadcaster.

Joomla 3 have 2 Feet formats aut of the box: RSS and Atom. So if you have e.g. a Blog on your website you can use the feed integration.
Check the demo site:

Thank you for this. Where can I download it? Will it generate an RSS Feed that Mailchimp will read from and send to my subscribers?

You don’t have to download it, it’s part of the Joomla! Core.
You only have to configure a Menu item.
If Mailchimp can read a RSS Feed(that I do not know), than you only have to provide the URL of the Menu Item to Mailchimp.

Hi
Is there an idiot's guide to do this as I'm obviously in that category. I've tried numerous ways forward but nothing seems to work.
Sorry for being stupid!

Re: Are there any RSS Syndicator extensions for Joomla 3?
I try to explain it step by step.
1) You have to decide what should be in your feed.
Let’s make it simple: just go to your articles and create a category for your feed, let’s call them "myblog"
2) Let’s create a Menu with the Menu type of "Category Blog" and just select the Category that we created before.
3) Now we are almost done. Let’s say you only want use the Syndicate functionality intern.
Than just go to your webpage and click Menu Item that we have created now. Let’s say the URL is something like http://example.com/myblog. Now add the following to your URL for an RSS 2.0 Feed or for an Atom 1.0 Feed.
4) Optional: if you want to have both versions of Syndications in the HTML Head of your Blog go to the Menu Item than to Integration set Show Feed Link to Show.
5) Optional: if you want also show the link of the Syndicated Feed on your Webpage, add a Module called Syndication Feeds. There you have to choose if you like the RSS 2.0 or the Atom 1.0 Format. More info about this Module: https://help.joomla.org/proxy/index.php ... tion_Feeds
Last but not least: add articles to your category

Re: Are there any RSS Syndicator extensions for Joomla 3?
Hi
Won't this just broadcast articles in that one category? With Ninja Syndicator, I could send articles from all my categories at one go (assuming there was new content). I had one feed for all the site and a separate feed for subscribers who didn't want articles from my sports categories.
