A plugin to strip text on-the-fly?

I was wondering if anyone might know of a plugin that will strip unwanted text so it doesn't get displayed, such as: @, .com, names, anything like this?

You could review and try the extension ReReplacer (http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions ... rereplacer) in a test environment and evaluate its suitability to your need.
