Warning JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find Joomla XML setup

Joomla 3.0.3
For some reason I keep getting this error when trying to install new components... not sure why... any thoughts?

First tell me what extension you are trying to install. Make sure your installing package do not say "unzipfirst"
Also you need to check your temp folders permission.
Then check your global configuration and make sure your "Path to Temp Folder" is okay.

Thanks for posting... ok so I have set the permissions on the temp from 755 to 775 and have confirmed the "Path to Temp Folder" is set appropriatly... still got the same issue... it's not just one component... its a few different ones.

Would be willing to look at a very small 3.0 component that is giving the same error?
I can zip it and send if you would be so kind as to take a look at it.
