What would cause pagination to do this?

Post by maestroc » Sat Sep 05, 2015 8:51 pm

For some reason all the links in my pagination at the bottom of a module are pointing to the same thing. The module is correctly linking to individual articles but the << 1 2 3 4 5 >> at the bottom has every one of the links pointing to the page it is currently on just with a # at the end of the url.

http://www.straightarrowhosting.net/~sa ... Itemid=203

Any idea what the cause might be and what I might try to fix it? The publisher of the module ignores any requests for assistance...

I moved the site to an URL without a tilde in the path:

http://teachertravelguide.com/newtv/ind ... Itemid=126

But it is still not working with same error that just adds the # to the same url as the current page. I don't have any template overrides in place right now that I know of. How can I check this part of things or do you have any other suggestions?

Methinks the problem is with your Template ... because http://teachertravelguide.com/newtv/ind ... =protostar shows no pagination. This suggests that the custom template is handling pagination not Joomla.

I added that module back into the protostar template in the position-2 slot. The # is gone now and it is adding limitstart=6, etc to the URL but it is not changing things when the page is loaded. It still loads the first six instead of the second page, etc.

Do you have any other ideas on what I should try next?

Thank you for the help so far. Others have claimed it was a javascript conflict and you are the first to actually move me forward on fixing it.

If the module doesn't work correctly in Protostar and you remove the tilde(~) from the url then what's left ? The module itself. Is it a free module that anyone can download to test ?
