Search for an extension for tracking objects

Hi,
I searched through the extensions but I did not find oen matching what I need.
Maybe someone can point me one that I can tweak or modify a little bit to match ?
Here is my need :

Mr X buy an object. he is the owner of the object and register it ( by a Serial number or ref ) in the joomla extension.

Then , Mr X drop it somewhere ( ex : in NYC, on 5th ). on purpose. He can or not, update the location on the website
Mr Y find it and go to website to say than he found it ( he can do so with the serial number )
Then MR Y drop it somewhere else , in SFO as ex. and so on ....
Any insight , ideas ? anything is welcome !

I think this is quite a specific requirement and you may require custom coding to implement it. Integration with some good maps plugin will be helpful though.
