Parameter for Module

I would like to write a module that could be inserted into a content page with a {loadmodule xxx} statement.
However, I would like to program the module in such a way that different output is generated depending on a parameter , i.e. something like {loadmodule xxx;yyy}. Is that possible or has someone a better solution on how to achieve the task in mind?

You could just create a content plugin instead. Modules aren't really meant to be displayed in articles.
