Admin Tools 6.1.7 upgrade question

I have version 6.1.7 of Admin Tools installed on my web and in joomla is "update required". How is that possible? The next vresion is for joomla 4. Mut i upgrade to joomla 4 and later upgrade the componetn in joomla 4?

Are you using Admin Tools Free or Pro? (If Pro, perhaps log a ticket with Akeeba).

Otherwise, try clearing the 'update cache' if it's reporting incorrectly or rebuild the update sites list entirely (can't hurt to do so). Maybe try letting Joomla "update" Admin Tools again (even though apparently is on the latest version).

You could also try reinstalling 6.1.7 over the top of the existing install (it shouldn't hurt any settings you have already made). (Fresh download from Akeeba).

Migrating shouldn't be necessary for this purpose but I suppose the ideal thing would be considering Joomla 4 eventually. (Even Akeeba's website "suggests" that). Support for J! 3.10 ends August 2023 and I expect for developers like Akeeba, will also end support for their products on J3.10 around the same time.

Just to be sure, can you please provide the FPA report results to this thread? That will tell us what version you have.

According to the Version Compatibility Chart of Admin Tools, you would need at least version 7.1.1 for Joomla 4. However, dig deeper and it is possible to update Joomla 3.10.11 to Joomla 4.1.5 and still run Admin Tools 6.1.7:

The problem is that you do not understand how to use the Forum Post Assistant reporting tool.

Have you read any of the sticky topics in the Forum Post Assistant forum? For example, have you read the instructions?

There is no modal window with "the code to copy". There has never been a modal window generated by the FPA. I do not think you know the meaning of a screen modal.

There are two steps, as @toivo wrote before (see the screenshot below):k

1. Click Click Here To Generate Post, then
2. Click Copy Post Content To Clipboard

If you do not see these things then your web browser is broken. Use a different web browser or device. I do not believe that you do not know how to use the FPA tool. The FPA tool works the same way today as when you used it before.

Not that it matters if you use the FPA or not to “tell us” which version of J! you are using. You can just tell us without using the FPA tool.

The simple answer to your question is yes: Admin Tools 6.1.7 is useless with J! 4.x. Use Admin Tools 7.1.11 if you want with J! 4.x (or don't use Admin Tools at all); that's your decision.

How can i solve this problem? I think that i disable Article responsive Preview extension and i know hot to enable.

The update site Joomla Extension Directory is disabled.
The update site System - Article Responsive Preview is disabled.
This will impact the update notification process of Joomla core and/or extensions.

You asked if you can update Admin Tools 6.1.7 to work with J! 3.10.11. The answer is no. There is no update for Admin Tools for J! 3.x.

Go to Extensions - Manage - Update Sites and enable sites that are shown as disabled.

As you can see, Article Responsive Preview has been unpublished from the Joomla Extensions Directory (JED) because of broken links. Check the URL from the list of Update Sites if the update site still exists or if the domain has disappeared. Click the Rebuild button and Joomla will check the update sites of each extension, Joomla Core and Joomla! Update Component Update Site.

Otherwise, try clearing the 'update cache' if it's reporting incorrectly or rebuild the update sites list entirely (can't hurt to do so). Maybe try letting Joomla "update" Admin Tools again (even though apparently is on the latest version).

and rebuilding de update sites entirely? I see the list but i don´t know how to rebuild it and if it is necessarily for all components. here i imaginde i´ve got info for all the components and those compronets that i don´t have he necessary information should be rebuilt.

As mentioned earlier, just click the Rebuild button and Joomla will rebuild the list for you:

Click the Rebuild button and Joomla will check the update sites of each extension, Joomla Core and Joomla! Update Component Update Site.
