SQL Server option not available.

I am brand new here, and I can't get started.

I have Joomla working, I get to the installation pages, but the options for database are just not appearing. I have messed around with the php.ini-development file. I have no php.ini file anywhere on my system, and it seem like that is the file that is affecting things.

I installed the SQLSVR20.EXE and SQLSVR30.EXE php packages. SQL Server 2008 R2 is installed on the machine. IIS is working.

What is the magic piece I am missing that will let me set this up with SQL Server? I have read through a bunch of the forum for help, but can't find the solution. All I get in the 'Database Type' drop down is 'None'.

That doesn't help too much, it's getting going for MySQL. I can't get SQL server as an option when setting up the database. Even following those directions, I still get 'None' as a database selection.

Do you have the client drivers for MS SQL Server installed in php?
