Is there a way to get published content directly from files stored in the website (FTP). Which directory etc.. I understand that all of the content is stored in the DataBase.

I have backups (Akeeba)but like to try to use a direct method.

Thx.

No.

Database driven websites are just that. All content is stored as text in the database. Only media files will be in directories.

Are there any attempts to store media files in the DataBase as well. I am asking this for security reasons.

No because it is unnecessary and too much to convert media to binary code
