PHP Version Update

I am trying to install a PHP version 5.6.24 from version 5.4.24. I have installed it on my Windows server but when I change the PHP version for my website to the newer version, my site does not function at all. I get a
500 - Internal server error.
There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.
Any help would be appreciated on this issue.

run the FPA with the new php version. mysqli is the one you have the error on.

I am unable to run the FPA with the new PHP version. I get the same 500 Internal Error as when I try to access the site.

Thanks for your help, at this time I am able to get PHP 7.0.9 working on my server. I guess its better to have the newest version!
