Showing specific users specific menu types

Post by jeffdoyle79 » Fri Dec 12, 2014 5:12 pm

I'm a noob to php and I was wondering if there was a way to hide specific menu types depending on the user group logged into the administrator area when managing menu items. Things like components, configuration manager, user manager ect. We give our clients access to the administrator area so they can edit articles and menu items, but when they see that section is confuses them and leaves room for them to really mess things up. I was thinking about adding a if then statement to the view.html.php page but really needed some help on this.

Attached is a screenshot of the default menu types I want to change.

Thank you very much.
