user authentication on iOS app from joomla Mysql DB

Hi,

I have developed a website and now i am developing iOS application for the same. I am having problem with authenticating users who try to login on iOS APP against the users in Mysql DB for Joomla 3.4.

I am getting invalid username/password. I am not able to determine the encryption of the password that is used at user account creation.

Now for verification, when i am providing the user password it is not matching the encrypted password.

I need to encrypt the verifying password with same encryption and salt to match the one that is stored in DB.

Can somebody please suggest how this can be achieved. I am struggling with this issue for last 2 weeks.
