multi-language category All

I am in process of converting a two language site to Joomla 3 - I have versions in 3.3 and 3.4 - same problem in both.

Since this site has existed as Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 2.5 it has not only menus, articles, categories, etc in one or other of the two languages but a good many with the language designation 'All'.

In module manager the language selector offers all 3, that is English, Afrikaans or All, but in Article manager, menu manager, category manager only English and Afrikaans are available to select - no way to select, see or edit items with designation 'All'.

If you select, say, Menu manager and select a menu - for the first time viewing you will see the various menu items - some English, some Afrikaans, some all - once you change the number of items you can see , say select view all items from the drop down, all the 'All' items disappear from view.

So I cannot even convert them to other languages because I cannot access them - even the search filter does not find them!

Can I be the only one experiencing this?
