Will 4.0 or 4.1 support V6? I found somewhere that with v6 you can create your own icons...

What kind of support for FontAwesome do you expect from Joomla 4.x?
If you need any 3rd party icons, you could include it in your template.

Joomla 3.x has a small IcoMoon icon llibrary on board: https://docs.joomla.org/J3.x:Joomla_Sta ... moon_Fonts
You can use those in the front- and backend of your site / components.

For some sites I needed other icons so I used https://icomoon.io/app/#/select to generate my own icon library.
And I included it via the template in my J3 site.
