Admin LogIn issue

I have what I consider an interesting issue. After l login into the admin area for the first time of the day an error occurs which kicks me out of the admin and forces a second login regardless of what I attempt to access in admin. This pop up appears on that initial login.

I do not understand what is causing it and since it only occurs on the initial login for the day I can't troubleshoot it without clearing the cookies for the site.

This is 4.4.4 site. I had previously installed and uninstalled an extension that required a key and a value. With the extension installed access to the admin area was similar to
<domain>/administrator?key=value
After experiencing issues with the extension I uninstalled it and removed it. Because the extension was uninstalled and removed I don't even remember the name of it.

However, this particular issue did not appear right away after removal of the extension but I am thinking it is related to that extension.

Any ideas WHERE to start?

That misplaced comma and spelling mistakes in the error message suggests a poorly written extension.

I suggest turning on error reporting. Perhaps you'll get a stack trace leading to the problem.

NOPE no such luck. There is nothing showing up in the Joomla or system logs either.

While working on this I just realized that upon the initial login that instead of the normal control panel this is displayed...

Temporarily rename the .htaccess file to take it out of the picture. Does that help? Compare your .htaceess file with the default htaccess.txt.

Install the fpa-en.php file from the Joomla Forum Post Assistant package in the root of the site and run that.

Install a backup copy of the website on a subdomain to see if it acts any differently there.

Temporarily rename the .htaccess file to take it out of the picture. Does that help? Compare your .htaceess file with the default htaccess.txt.

Install the fpa-en.php file from the Joomla Forum Post Assistant package in the root of the site and run that.

Install a backup copy of the website on a subdomain to see if it acts any differently there.

The Site and Admin config paths not equal message has been mentioned many times herein. Do a search on that phrase and read through the threads here in the forum.

Also set the 775 permissions back to 755.

It appears that you have not removed the old Akeeba version 8 extension.

file_fof40 (4.1.0) should have been removed when you upgraded Akeeba. You might need to use the Akeeba MagicEraser software to clean up the site.

Uninstall Admin Tools or, at least, disable the component and the plugins.

If you are not using the militarywives site template, uninstall it.

Some of those third party extensions sound a bit dodgy. Temporarily disable all that you can.

The Admin Tools is the Akeeba Admin Tools - it was NOT the problem.

The template militarywives IS my template. It is temporarily swapped with Cassiopeia

AFTER that I began one by one and hit the jackpot on the second one - it is called Securitycheck https://extensions.joomla.org/extension/securitycheck

Needless to say - it has gone BYE BYE.

It is interesting that one of the old reviews of that extension reads, in part, whenever I enable this extension, my website will be full off errors. I can't login from the Front End.

BTW, after I sent the previous posting, I re-enabled it and when the installation completed and I was presented with the extension's confirmation - the red screen shown above appeared. Before I could disable it I was FORCED to re-login. I DISABLED it, REMOVED it. and CLEARED the browser cookies and all is well in my little part of the internet.
