I'd first do what the large yellow box advises - do a backup! Clearly, your video shows you not doing that.

Some things to try:

Clear the cache (joomla and browser) that might clear the "unknown..." errors.

Try rebuilding the update sites list.

Try Upload & Update and try J 4.4.1 rather than 4.4.2

Check your internet connection, reset your router/modem etc.

Try changing the "update channel" to "default".

Perhaps it's not your site, and there's a temporary error with the update server (or your web server) and not specifically Joomla, that seems to be the case given the extension update also fails.

Can you install any new extension or update "floating buttons" by downloading the install package and installing that via the upload zip package method or does that fail too? Try other install methods such as install from web or install from folder etc. Is this the first time this has occurred? Has anything changed on your server like PHP or anything else?

Upload and Update 4.4.1 files over 4.4.2 files? Are you sure?

I did absolutely nothing except change the CMOD from 444 to 644 on configuration.php, waited a while and everything went through without error. So I don't know. But it works!

Your configuration.php should be 444 not 644. If setting it 644 solved your problem then you have more problems than you realise. You can alway start another thread if/when you have more problems
