Joomla 5 SEF and URL Rewriting Error

Greetings, i enabled the SEF and URL Rewriting options i also renamed the htaccess.txt to .htaccess but all my menu links (pages) are 404 error now. Does anyone know what may happened?

Is there a particular reason why Error Reporting in the Global Configuration was set to 'None'? Change it to 'Maximum', then go to the System tab and turn on the option 'Debug System'.

The FPA also shows that there could be some ownership issues with the way the filesystem has been set up. Contact your host.

The maximum upload and POST sizes 20M are too small, if you need to upload a Joomla update file. Change them in the cPanel or similar page, provided by your host, at least to 32M. The memory limit 128M should be 256M, thinking about Joomla updates.

I switched the error reporting because extensions named komento required this small tweak to be installed. i change the values in the php.ini file. As for the cpanel i have set up the cms in a Ubuntu VPS myself. How it look now?

Looks better indeed. There are still potential ownership issues, though.

The PHP error log does not seem to have a path. As a workaround, go to the Logging tab of the Global Configuration and select 'Log Almost Everything'. Then you can collect the error log and PHP call stack, in case PHP fatal error occur, from administrator/logs/everything.php.

Have you tried to update the menu entries after the SEF and URL Rewriting options were selected?

Are those menu items just links to individual Joomla articles, created using the Content component - Articles?

Menu items are linked to Joomla Categories one menu item to exactly one category and the Menu Item Type is Category Blog if this helps

That can help. Use phpMyAdmin from the cPanel or a similar page provided by your host and browse the table _menu. Locate the menu item for Category Blog. Does it look like the following, ignoring the id bit?

The PHP call stack you posted shows that something is wrong with the path to the view file. The view is called category blog and the corresponding frontend file is components/com_content/src/View/Category/HtmlView.php. Does that file exist?

On the other hand, check two files in the folder components/com_content/tmpl/category, namely blog.php and blog.xml. Do they exist?
