Joomla 5 loose Update ability and media connectivity in Dashboard

Here is a step by step outline of what happens in my site

Several errors
1 On login Dashboard give Overrides available, joomla, extention update, privacy request as red (Error)
When this is prevalent Media folder is showing no media in folder (all white with a logo in the background) yet Images are available in the editors (JCE PRO). As is if there is a disconnect between core and media folder. That indicates to me that J5 cannot access the update servers or breaks the connection between core and media . No images can be uploaded or accessed via the Media folder
2 Now Go to system : joomla:Update:Joomla:Update Chanel: and re-select another channel i.e. Testing Save and exit Now everything works normal. (if you lucky) Now logout and log in all back to no squire one. Now one has to go through the mess again before you in update

The reason I ask for help and I think there is a problem that the connection to the media folder gets lost when when the update system loose contact with the update servers. Scanning the net I see several forums with this problem. Not talking of the problem of establishing the updates again

Conclusion.

There is a broken link in the update system
The error correct itself after above steps but then reverts back to the error after log out and in
This problem started in J4 and upgraded to J5

My site is extremely image intensive and I upload/edit many images and folders. So you will understand my concern
It is annoying to have to go through the above steps all the time
I am fully prepared if one of you boffins want to get into my site to see what is going on as I am sure there is a deep laying error
I am a user not a coder

It will be awesome if one can get that Forum assistant to work. Spend half day to get it installed now staring at a screen that is called Forum Post Assistant that is hung up on "Hang on while we run some test" When does on KILL the trash as once again I quote "Due to the highly sensitive nature of the information displayed by the FPA script, it should be removed from the server immediately after use. If the script is left on the site, it can be used to gather enough information to hack your site."
First mess is that FPA 1.6.6 does not work. Did as the forums suggest. Installed FPA 1.5. Now FPA 1.5 is hanging up What do you recommend to get out of this mess and get some answers to a HUGE MESS ON MY JOOMLA SITE
I can see from the notes on FPA 1.6.6 that it may assist with errors on Update sites (1. Various bug fixes and updates to the GUI. 2.Added check for disabled update sites.)

It will be awesome if one can get that Forum assistant to work. Spend half day to get it installed now staring at a screen that is called Forum Post Assistant that is hung up on "Hang on while we run some test" When does on KILL the trash as once again I quote "Due to the highly sensitive nature of the information displayed by the FPA script, it should be removed from the server immediately after use. If the script is left on the site, it can be used to gather enough information to hack your site."
First mess is that FPA 1.6.6 does not work. Did as the forums suggest. Installed FPA 1.5. Now FPA 1.5 is hanging up What do you recommend to get out of this mess and get some answers to a HUGE MESS ON MY JOOMLA SITE
I can see from the notes on FPA 1.6.6 that it may assist with errors on Update sites (1. Various bug fixes and updates to the GUI. 2.Added check for disabled update sites.)

Thanks for getting me on the way with this help. I do apologist fore a previous post. As to setting up for FPA is well outside my scope, I asked for from my SP. They could not get it to work so tonight I asked someone else for help and we manage to get it up and running.
This problem is causing me lots of problems. Today it did some form of crash on my media folder. Have great backups so restored with no serious loss of work

On login the Joomla dashboard notifications are red yet when you go Systems -update it shows extensions and Joomla up to date. Strange
If i click on Media via dashboard I have a "white screen" i.e the media file is not populated yet when I use the media in articles via JCE Pro butt it is all visible. The media folder will only populate once the red notifications are green. Had one instance where I managed to add and delete a file in the, media folder I thought i had a glimpse of the red notices and the media promptly hung up I added images but it did not show Also did not show in JCE Pro As a persuasion I did a rollback of the site to a previous date (my SP keeps backups of the previous 14 days)
This problem is prevelent even from the J4 days I thought it will go away with updated but not

Ask your host if this is really necessary.....on a modern server.
Delete any templates and frameworks you are not using.
You have something disabling right click on your site, as a security measure it is useless and the javascript to achieve this can cause conflicts, best to delete it.

Live site you empty in global config from joomla admin area, Max. Input Time: -1 you should be able to adjust this in your php options on your server cpanel, if not ask your host to change it.
