Importing articles into J 5.0.3

Post by mo_pr » Wed Mar 27, 2024 4:30 pm

I am in the process of updating my old Joomla website (3.2.7) or creating a completely new one. But of course I want to keep all the articles, about 800 entries. I have now simply created a new Joomla website on a development server. I simply copied the images folder with FTP. For the articles I simply copied the required tables from the database and adapted them to the new structure. However, I only see 2 entries on the Articles page. But when I look at the categories, all 800 articles are assigned to a category and listed as published.

Thanks in advance

Perhaps start again and use https://extensions.joomla.org/extension/j2xml/ if you don't want to transfer everything via the Joomla update component.

Welcome to Joomla forum!

Joomla 4.x+ has a new Workflow functionality.
For each imported article you need to create a reference in the #__workflow_associations table.
