Exporting J2.5 users into J5 site Topic is solved

Hi all, my old J2.5 site is finally being replaced with a J5 site. I am nearing the end of the process and would like to get to grips with exporting/importing users from the old to new.

I just (1st time) used phpmyadmin to export tables from an important site extension, modify the SQL prefixes and import into new site without any issues, so starting to understand this, but the users tables aspect may be very different?

Brilliant Per, may thanks - one question if you know. Should I keep the users IDs the same? - the option defaults to no, so it's made pause for thought.

Hi Per, just got round to export/import but in J5 J2XML after dropping in the file to import I just get as per the screenshot attached. Any ideas whats going wrong at all? TIA

btw - I looked back through the forums and tried your solution of disabling System - Joomla Stats plugin alas no difference

Thanks Murray, first time I tried that form it failed with error messages, but actually I gave it another go from your link and it worked, so I sent a debug report - maybe they can help. Many thanks, Ben

Unfortunately no response from the developers. I dont think they offer support for this extension. Anyone have any other ideas how to get the users from J2.5 -> J5? TIA
