Update 5.0.3 to 5.1

Post by J_NZ » Sun Apr 21, 2024 7:32 am

When I try to update from backend the Requird Settings show Database Table Structure Up To Date as 'No'

When I navigate to System-Maintenance-Database it shows 'No matching results' and the Update Structure button is greyed-out.

This is a clean Bitnami appliance on VMWare 6.0 running Debian 11.

Any help greatfully appreciated.

I am seeing the same thing on a bitnami installaiton of Joomla 5. Except that I see no way to navigate to "System-Maintenance-Database ".

From the system dashboard I see no "maintenance" link. So I am stuck with no way to update the database as suggested in the update check page.

Thanks Yngve.

After using the link I discovered that the system-maintenance-database link was there all the time. I was looking for a "maintenance" link in the system page.

So now I have the same problem as J_NZ. Except that I do see the akeeba backup entry in the list.

However checking it and clicking on update structure button get me nowhere. I still see the following error message when I click on the button that says 5.1.0 is available:

"Warning: Undefined array key 0 in /bitnami/joomla/administrator/components/com_joomlaupdate/src/Model/UpdateModel.php on line 1349

Warning: Trying to access array offset on value of type null in /bitnami/joomla/administrator/components/com_joomlaupdate/src/Model/UpdateModel.php on line 1352"

I don't see any path from there. I've looked a the PHP fil mentioned in the message, but as expected I have no clue why $model->getItems()[0] is not set.

Have you checked the Update Sites List?

5.0.2 to 5.1
Note that J5.0.2 has an issue with the Pre-update check. It says there are no extensions installed eventhough you (may) have. And displays a green checkmark even if there are extensions that may have issues.

Update to 5.0.3 first.

I'm having similar problems, I've been unable to update for several months and I've been hoping that there would be a manual upgrade package from 5.0.3 to 5.1, but there's only from 4.4 to 5.1.
Has this issue been resolved yet? What happens if I install a new 5.1 on top of 5.0.3? That's going to crash the website or at least remove all info right? What is the best thing to do without rebuilding the whole website?
