Re: Discuss Joomla! 3.4
Suggest to check your #__extensions table. AFAIK Joomla is still having the bad habit of putting meaning in id numbers and reserves particular ranges. Looks like they added 8## for core supported packages.
The create table suggests to start at 10000 for new entries. Doesn't work in my environment either. It starts at highest number inserted, mixing core and 3p extensions!

Re: Discuss Joomla! 3.4
After upgrade to Joomla 3.4, I have problem with my site, I am unable to load my site anymore except Error message "The page isn't redirecting properly".
I saw the URL from the bar also change to " domainname.net// ". There is a double slash sign at the back of domain name.
Would appreciate any assistance.
Thanks.

Re: Discuss Joomla! 3.4
When when I upgrade from Joomla 3.3.6 to Joomla 3.4 my Global Configuration CSS is broken, but when I install a new copy of Joomla 3.4 on the same server, everything operates correctly?
My hosting company does not support DSO on shared hosting plans, which is what I have.

Re: Discuss Joomla! 3.4
That's a known problem that will probably be corrected in the next release. In the meantime, see On upgrade to 3.4.0 Global Configuration fails Class PDO.bizguy15 wrote:When when I upgrade from Joomla 3.3.6 to Joomla 3.4 my Global Configuration CSS is broken, but when I install a new copy of Joomla 3.4 on the same server, everything operates correctly?

Re: Discuss Joomla! 3.4
Hey cmbay:
Thanks for the response. A little more digging for a non-programmer like me and I was able to get it fixed. For anyone else struggling with this until the next release:
1. rename the attached file from the .txt to a .php extension
2. rename libraries/joomla/database/driver/pdomysql.php to pdomysql.bak
2. upload the file to libraries/joomla/database/driver
That should do it until the next maintenance release. If not, remove the new file and rename the .bak to .php and you are where you were.
The forum is converting "d r i v e r" to driver in the path above, so you will need to take note when locating your file.

Re: Discuss Joomla! 3.4
No you cannot. It all depends on how many of the Pull Requests, we want in the release, have been tested. So why not join the Bug Squad and help Testing? The more people helping the more and faster we get things done by all the volunteers we all are?xfsgpr wrote:So Leo, can pencil in next Tuesday (17th March) in my diary?

Re: Discuss Joomla! 3.4
Yes, you can download J3.3.6 from the same place. Issues with J3.4.0 are easily resolved and shouldn't stop you from migrating to it. Or you could wait a few days for J3.4.1.

Re: Discuss Joomla! 3.4
I was extremely pleased to find out that 3.4 has added the feature to turn off collecting URLs in the redirect plugin. This is awesome!
Is there a list of all features/changes to 3.4? I did not see this listed anywhere. I wonder what other gems are now there to find.

I tried to login in there to see any activity bcs its very silent about the marketing about Joomla now days..? are the Joomla marketing group and discussions dead?
It would be good if we have more buzz in the market and write articles/promote Joomla everywhere in the world example http://cmsreport.com/articles/5-feature ... -cms-12515 where there is no one writing anything except me olle66 to spread some light about Joomla there..we should have active groups of marketers that take care of positive feed back from every positive news there is and post it in this forums and magazines.
Why is not the marketing group doing things like this?

Darb, You might want to post a message on Glip General Discussion or contact Jessica Dunbar who is Marketing Lead. I have no involvement with Marketing. At present I am Member of the Joomla Bug Squad, Joomla Upgrade & Migration Working Group.darb wrote: yes I know them Leo do you know what happened with Glip?
