Sorry, Sir/Madam, but respectfully they were not there in the list in my database; modules, components, users, finder_links_terms~ all were, but no plugins. I went back to 3.5.1 because the particular plugin I need for security is not yet updated to v3.6.0.
I tried disabling the Two-Factor Authentication on another website with 3.5.1, doing the Joomla update to 3.6.0, disabling the Installer for the Web and enabling both the Installer and the Two-Factor again. This gave the same freeze on the other website as well upon logoff and re-login. (The name of the Plugin, at the point after the update, was converted to ALL CAPS in the list of plugins in the backend.)
