Re: Discuss Joomla! 4.4.2
I have tried a first site a couple of times today (10 Jan) but failed so far: check of file chcksum failed, so the Joomla 4.4.2 does not start to download.

Re: Discuss Joomla! 4.4.2
That's weird. I've just tested the update from 4.4.1 to 4.4.2 on one of my own websites. The update went well.
I cannot reproduce your issue.

Re: Discuss Joomla! 4.4.2
Thanks, hopeful it works for you. I tried once again now, checksum error remains. I will look into other sites etc later today or next few days. And monitor if any more report same error.

I'm sure you have done this already, but try clearing system and browser caches before trying again. If no luck try a different browser type.

Re: Discuss Joomla! 4.4.2
Done some more re my trouble to update due to checksum failure:
I have cleared browser cashe, restarted computer.
I have uninstalled a deactivated extension I suspected (because it had warnings it requires PHP 8.2 while I have 8.1).
It still gives same error.
I have tried manual upgrade via downloaded zip-file. It gives this error message:
However, in meantime, I have updated another site (with same computer and browser). It has a different web host provider. On this site, the update works, but has another issue related to a fix implemented in 4.4.2 "Error: SELECT would examine more than MAX_JOIN_SIZE rows" discussed here: viewtopic.php?f=811&t=995872&p=3711760#p3667968

Re: Discuss Joomla! 4.4.2
Today I have been able to update via file upload. I think the issue was that I was close to storage quota at the provider. So after deleting some files, eg some backups, I could update. So my issue is solved.hehemrin wrote: ↑Wed Jan 10, 2024 8:07 pmDone some more re my trouble to update due to checksum failure:

There's a bug with Smart Search results if J! debug mode is enabled; see viewtopic.php?f=808&t=1006547
Cannot use the issue tracker to report it to the developers. Looks like this problem has been around for several months. This issue has also transferred across to J! 5.x. Was this an intentional "feature" of J! debug mode?

Re: Discuss Joomla! 4.4.2
Hi all,
Updating 2 SMALL sites O.K.
Updating bigger site (1G) - ended with a 404 Page not found. Re-connecting with the back-end made the admin pages (and front pages) re-appear. (?)
I also found that updating the big site took a much longer time than I was used to.
have a nice day, Kompas
