Hi, I am terribly sorry if there already is any topic or post on this, but I couldn't find anything, and I don't know anywhere else to post, so I'll do it here.

I can't download Joomla 1.0.12. I am using this link http://forge.joomla.org/sf/frs/do/viewRelease/projects.joomla/frs.joomla_1_0.1_0_12 but I keep on getting "Could not connect to remote server". Can anyone help me? Maybe email me the latest version or something. Thanks!

Hi Ernie,

Welcome to the forums and Joomla!

You're having a bit of bad luck, the Forge seems to be down at the moment. I'll inform the admin's and hopefully it will be up and running soon so you can download Joomla!

I hope you have some patience, it will be worth it ;)

Regards Robin

Thanks for the welcome!

Good to know the admin is (getting) informed. I'll wait then and check that link every now and then.
I must say this forum has fast replies. Great work.

Thanks!

EDIT: Seems like the Forge is up and running now. Thanks!

I think I may have found a bug. I have two modules activated in the top position for my template. Those modules are only activated for the frontpage. However, when I click to edit an article from the frontpage or I click the title of an article to read more about it, those modules are still displayed. They should not be displayed since the links lead to article sections that are not on the frontpage and this has only started happening since upgrading from 1.0.11. If you click on the title for one of the new themes on the front page you will see what I am talking about. Is this a bug, or are things just implemented differently for the frontpage now?

The modules in the top position are titled "New Themes" and "ThemeBot News Feeds"

Here is the site: http://themebot.com

To prevent modules from appearing when the "Read more..." is clicked on the frontpage, please see < http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic ... 9195 >.

1.0.12 has a new SSL switching feature, but i don't know how to make it work. It was said in this release that there would be a FAQ on this topic shortly but i don't see one. The only advice on this topic i found in the forms (http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,126915.0.html) points to http://www.netshinesoftware.com/security/using-an-ssl-certificate-with-your-joomla-website.html, but it's a series of hacks to make the switching work. Surely there is a way to get switching in 1.0.12 without modifying the core Joomla files, since 1.0.12 is supposed to do this natively.

How can i find out how to do this?

I cannot access the forge.

I need to upgrade some websites from 1.0.10 to 1.0.12 version.

Anybody know why the forge is down and how long it will be?

Are there any trusted alternate download sites? :-[ Nevermind, just saw the message on the site.

I learned something today - did not know there was a forum for the forge itself.

Status info is available here:

There is only one official release of Joomla. You can see the download link on http://www.joomla.org
