Re: Discuss Joomla! 3.3.0 Released
I signed into my Joomla site and a Joomla update was found going from 3.2.4 to 3.3. But the "Update package URL" is still set to "http://joomlacode.org/gf/download/frsre ... ackage.zip"

Re: Discuss Joomla! 3.3.0 Released
So one of the big new features is microdata, but it's really not clear how this is implemented in 3.3 - can anybody offer any insight?

Re: Discuss Joomla! 3.3.0 Released
Hey Dave, that is what my update first said. 3.2.3 to 3.2.4. Once I updated to 3.2.4. The Joomla seen another update version to 3.3 but when I went to update a second time to 3.3 it only kept updating to 3.2.4
Looks like Joomla isn't picking up on the 3.3 update for some reason...

Re: Discuss Joomla! 3.3.0 Released
Just go to extensions -> extension manager -> install -> install from url
and enter
http://joomlacode.org/gf/download/frsre ... ackage.zip
You'll then be updated to 3.3 (and see no sign of microdata!)
and enter

Re: Discuss Joomla! 3.3.0 Released
Microdata is coded into the layouts. You'll see some in the article view of com_content at https://github.com/joomla/joomla-cms/bl ... efault.phpquiggles wrote:Just go to extensions -> extension manager -> install -> install from url

If you've overridden the layouts, you'll need to merge it into your overrides.

No overrides, Joostrap templates, caches cleared?
Why is such a major feature hidden away?

Re: Discuss Joomla! 3.3.0 Released
It doesn't work for me too. Did an upgrade from 3.2.3 to 3.3.0 (not from 3.2.4 to 3.3.0). The Save, Save & Close and Cancel buttons for all Components (Banners, Cache Manager, Articles etc.) don't do anything.DavidBoggitt wrote:Fine for me (just on one test site thus far).ch2856 wrote:A bug or just me?

When I click the Save button, Web Console of Firefox says:
ReferenceError: Hash is not defined (validate.js:4)
The Save, Save & Close and Cancel buttons for Global Configuration work though.
PS: Now that I remember, I had 3.2.3, Joomla said there was an update for 3.2.4 (the url package said 3.2.3_to_3.2.4), I clicked Update, but when it finished, it said that I now have 3.3.0

This appears ok for me too. Can you give me an exact process to replicate please?Wizard13 wrote:It doesn't work for me too. Did an upgrade from 3.2.3 to 3.3.0 (not from 3.2.4 to 3.3.0). Re: Discuss Joomla! 3.3.0 Released
I found the solution. Firefox showed an error in file "joomla\media\system\js\validate.js", but the file Firefox had loaded was different from the actual file in joomla, so it's a browser cache problem (Firefox was loading probably validate.js from previous Joomla version). Once I cleared the cache, problem was solved.DavidBoggitt wrote:This appears ok for me too. Can you give me an exact process to replicate please?Wizard13 wrote:It doesn't work for me too. I still don't understand this microdata situation.
It's lauded as a big addition but it's so hidden!

Re: Discuss Joomla! 3.3.0 Released
Working fine for me on both my test site and live site.
One issue I did have on my offline test site was while updating to 3.3, I was brought to a blank screen and it wasn't finishing the update. The clear cache fix didn't do the trick either. However, I had run into this in the past and updating via an unzipped directory did the trick. Just thought I toss this up here in case anyone else had a similar issue.

Re: Discuss Joomla! 3.3.0 Released
Joostrap uses overrides to the core layouts as the current templates are using Bootstrap 3 instead of 2.3.2 as shipped with core.quiggles wrote:No overrides, Joostrap templates, caches cleared?

Re: Discuss Joomla! 3.3.0 Released
Okay, I understand a little better now. But it strikes me that such a major new feature really isn't explained properly anywhere. There are still posts out there that refer to there being a switch in the global configuration that turns microdata on and off, and obviously this is incorrect.
If Ford introduced a new car with let's say enhanced cupholders, and these were mentioned in all of the literature about the new vehicle, you wouldn't expect to have to fumble under the dashboard to find a switch to release them because it doesn't state how to use them in the manual!

Re: Discuss Joomla! 3.3.0 Released
jQuery doesn't load on 'Single Article' pages on my Joomla 3.3 website.
It did before (on Joomla 3.2.3).
Currently I'm using jQueryEasy, but it should be loaded by Joomla on default right? It is being loaded on blog layout pages.

Re: Discuss Joomla! 3.3.0 Released
The core code only loads jQuery when explicitly called. It could be that view has no JavaScript dependencies on jQuery and as such doesn't load it. Extensions should be ensuring their dependencies are loaded and not assuming it.sander_v_bergen wrote:jQuery doesn't load on 'Single Article' pages on my Joomla 3.3 website.

Re: Discuss Joomla! 3.3.0 Released
Same problem here I think...
I can not update from 3.2.4. to 3.3.0...
When I try, the update runs, but after the update-rutine, Joomla tells me that I stil have the 3.2.4 version?
I have tried to clear the browsercache - but the same happens?
Any suggestion?
Thanks

Re: Discuss Joomla! 3.3.0 Released
So most of my sites are upgraded, and caches cleared, but according to the Wappalyzer chrome add in, Mootools are still being loaded.
How do you nail this sucker?!

Re: Discuss Joomla! 3.3.0 Released
MooTools hasn't been completely replaced yet. There's still some scripts dependen upon it. We didn't promise it was all gone yet, just a work in progress that is closer to complete than not.

The upgrade said 3.2.4 then when I upgraded it said I upgraded to 3.3.0 and now my website is blank on the frontend and the "Global Configuration" is blank in the backend

YESSS SAME HERE!!! WE NEED TO GET THIS FIXED ASAP!
Back up your site on cpanel so you dont loose your data up until now just incase there is a solution. Then see if you had any previous back-ups.
This is truly a tragedy if this does not get fixed asap. Our workspace just took a huge effing set back. Lets get this resolved!

Joomla 3.3.0
PHP 5.3.28
