Why are you waiting for 3.5? Did you miss the announcement that this is NOT going to be a LTS release and that concept has been abandoned. PLUS there are two security issues fixed with this 3.3.4

I dont know brian why we are waiting for J 3,4 already 2 months. You know better why Joomla 3.4 was not out on July and we have just these security updates, which brings to us the same work, if we have some modification in core Joomla, what we need to have, if want that Joomla works well. (at least turn off canonical, which ''feature'' can be removed, bc. its useless and it does not work)

Is anywhere on joomla.org link where can user as me easily click and then just try to help with testing ? Or I need to be coder with 10 years of experience that I m able to do this ?
Just publish comment in community magazine took 1 month, everything is so complicated and nontransparent even for programmers not even for users, then dont expect, that someone will help even if he want.
While it will stay like that, you will stay small group of boys to play together on your own way without listening any community voices.

I am not a coder!!!!

It is very easy to test things. http://docs.joomla.org/Bug_Squad

There is even a component com_patchtester available so you dont need anything more than a joomla install in order to test patches

Thank you for this release and the security fixes in it! I haven't yet explored all the new features in Joomla 3 yet but am really liking it so far!

@ Flashrebel,
You are making the same comments with each release and you have been pointed by many of us time after time to the support channels. You keep just posting your frustrations (from joining! onwards)

As we have stated dozens of times both on the forums as in private messages, by moderators amongst others, you should consider to become active in supporting Joomla instead of just venting your lack of knowledge. Realize once again that you are part of a community by using Joomla and behave as such (finally?)..... and stop now posting your 'crap' towards those who spend hundreds of hours to the project so you (!) can enjoy a free of charges --> CMS-site?
you will stay small group of boys to play together on your own way without listening any community voices.
"we" are hundreds of very dedicated and committed contributors --> Be invited once again to support as well or go elsewhere if you do not like it?

jeeezzzz

Using registration with admin approval?

Your user will not be notified when admin is not logged in on frontend upon approval.

Replace line 146 of components/com_users/models/registration.php with

Code: Select all

elseif (($userParams->get('useractivation') == 2) && $user->getParam('activate', 0) )
This removes the requirement for the admin to be logged in on the frontend.

As an alternative you could use com_patchtester and apply #4390.
Issue with migrating? Include logs/joomla_update.php in your report!
Blank screen? Verify pagesource for HTML code (javascript error)
Installation failing on populating database? Install with set_time_limit(0)
Document your customizations!
