Affordable web hosting inside China
My travel company is branching out... and we are developing a Chinese version of our website. We would like to find a joomla compatible web host in China. I'm not looking for a free service but I am looking for a shared hosting service.
Does anyone have any recommendations?
Thanks
Mark

I am using abhk.com, which is based in HK, and although their staff wasn´t proficient english speakers, the service was pretty good and I finally got the thing running.

well,In general a lot of the Premier Hosting companies from around the World actually branch out into different regions in Europe and America even South of Asia but I'm not that sure weather A hosting company(Leader) has branched out in China,I think you need to go for a Regional Host for that reason.

You might want to go with hosting in Hong Kong although it is more expensive. In China, websites are frequently blocked and unblocked and content is subject to censorship. Also, your site may be very slow for visitors outside of China.

if you want put your site in China, you should know these things :
1. in this great country, you should get a license before building a website.Which means you should provide your company's business lisence and photoes and much more rubbish.
2.don't take any .cn domain name.
3.dont's say anything against the goverment and the great party.
4.if you put your website in south China, you should get ready to pay an extra fee to make your north China customers open your website faster.
5.the space of sharing host is usually very small and 1 mysql.
more and more Chinese admins moved their website to USA, what do you think.
after i have replied this post, i found it was posted in 2007. ......
