Description:
In the installation, in FTP settings step, if I'm using Turkish language, the two buttons labeled "Autofind FTP path" and "Verify FTP settings" don't display correct strings when I click on them. They display VALIDFTP, NOROOT etc.

I tried with English, Turkish and Romanian, Italian and the only problem is with Turkish.

I ensured that the corresponding lines in tr-TR.ini exists. I attached screenshots to be more clear.

Reported on:
SVN 9401

Steps to replicate:
Use Turkish (tr-TR) as installation language in first step
When you are in FTP settings page, first enter the correct values and click the buttons
And then click with incorrect ones

Please enable language debugging in the configuration, and in the debug plugin.  This will give you important information about missing strings.

This sounds more like a translation issue than a J! bug, but let's wait and see.

The strings are not missing.
I have really no idea why it behaves this way in Turkish

BTW, debugging can't be on as the configuration.php file is not yet created.

Totally agree with Infograf. Is there a way to debug installation?

And just a (maybe silly) idea. Can it be about line delimiters?

Updated in Rev 9450 .

The xml file for TR has a typo - tr_TR should have been tr-TR .  As a result, the wrong language tag was being passed via AJAX and the language file was not being loaded.

Please confirm the fix.

@infograf768: do we need to alert the TR translation team so that they won't reintroduce this bug ?

It's now working as expected.

I can confirm the fix.

Thanks tcp. :)

There was a typo.  I'm not sure what you mean by "not identified".  In the testing I did ( SVN ) the strings translated fine.  Are you using SVN?  If not, you may need to wait for the next nightly build.
