Replacement for JCE Editor while waiting for J1.5 release

I just LOVE JCE Editor It allows me to upload images and manage media directly in the editor without having to jump through hoops. However, because it is not yet available for J1.5 R3 I want to find out what is the closest replacement for JCE Editor to use in the meantime.

Can anyone suggest one. I'm not very interested in technical superiority, but I AM interested in ease of use and usability.

I'll second this question - if anybody has any recommendations as to which editor can even come close to JCE im all ears...

We have a lovely saying for this in rural Ireland. It would sound like this:
"Nothing comes 'within an ass's* roar' of JCE"

*ass is used commonly for the word donkey in Ireland, and elsewhere

Well thats a compelling enough argument for me to get a JCE 1.5 beta out asap.

The biggest backward step in moving to J1.5 is the editor. Sorry to the rest you just don't cut it

Specifically the link and image management is what I lurrvve.

I won't be moving any of my client sites to J1.5 till JCE is weaving it's magic
