028 - Create a "Joomla! Menu Types" document.
If I have understood, I need create a document that explains each of the menu item types, such as 'Default Login Layout', 'Contact Category Layout' etc.
And I have to take a screen shot of how the link layout appears to visitors.
Is this right?
And I have another questions.
What's the difference between 'Complete Reset Layout' and 'Default Reset Layout' from the Users menu item types?
The explanation of the 'Default Remind' item (Users) says it's a password reminder, but the layout says it's a username reminder. So, what it is?
Task Claimed: Nov 28 Due: Dec 12
Google Task
[me=AmyStephen]Changed subject slightly for sorting all threads to match against Google resource [/me]

Welcome to the contest!
I did a little digging and the Default Remind item does indeed function as a username reminder. The system isn't designed to send you back your password (it gets encrypted), so I'll double check the latest dev version and put in a label fix if this isn't already resolved.
As for the other two, I'm getting the exact same form for both. It appears to be redirecting to the default form on the 'Complete' link.

Ok, the 'Default Remind' is a username reminder.jlleblanc wrote: Welcome to the contest!

Yes, it appears to be this the problem. With the 'complete' link. I'm getting the Default form for both of them too.
Ok, I'll doing the other items until someone figure out what it's the problem.

Hey!
What should I do with the 'Complete' link?

I'm still looking at it. I posted a patch for the other issue: http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/joomla ... em_id=8347xalnx wrote: Hey!

If there is a bug that prevents you from documenting a certain option, simply notate that in your documentation. Before a final review, try another nightly download and see if the problem is resolved. If it is, update your documentation. If not, add the download date to your document so it is clear you did all you could.
Good luck!

If you still want to document the Complete Reset Layout, it looks like you can do so for the moment by commenting out line 64 of components/com_user/views/reset/view.html.php. This isn't a true fix, just a hack if you're doing some documentation on a non-live site.

We took a look at this issue today and determined that the Complete Reset Layout view should be hidden. It is only intended to be reached when you follow an email link to reset your password. Don't include this layout in your documentation. Let us know if you run into anything else!

Is it possible to share a draft of your work, thus far? This task is due on Dec 12, and it is helpful to have a few days of review with the judges. I don't believe we have seen a draft, yet. But, I might have missed it.
Thanks!

Yes, no problem. Here it is.
I need to finish the last items, add the page numbers on the index and take off the 'Complete Reset Layout'. And take off the images on the Index too, they're only for my organization.
I couldn't attach the file through the fórum because it's larger than 100kB. So I have uploaded to RapidShare. Any problem?

That is *stunning*! How easy for people to see the various menu types - you have taken something complex and simplified it.
Including the menu types - showing which one is selected in the tree - and then displaying a picture of the page and the component - it makes it easy to understand.
Well, well, done piece - my apologies for the delay. I will try to get another judge to review and get this closed ASAP.
Thank you for your contributions to the Joomla! community!

Here it is, finished.
I've attached a .zip on the issue tracker that contains both .odt and .pdf formats.

Ok, thanks!
But unfortunately I think I can't do any of the Open Tasks available. Since this is basically the first time I'm dealing with PHP, I think I haven't skill to do coding tasks, and all Open tasks available needs at least a little of that skill. So, I'll wait and see if another tasks appears.
Thanks again!
