Thanks JM ;)

Hi nivritchari - and welcome to joomla! community forums.

Sounds interesting with a Bengali (Bangladesh) translation for Joomla! 1.5.3.
Perhaps it will be a good idea to get in touch with the friendly people at Bengali forum in our international zone:

I´m convinced that alamgir99 and others can help answer your questions best possible.

Your post here is noted and I will do a follow up on this :)

Thanks ot2sen
I have contacted Alamgir 99 and he adviced me to register a project under joomlacode.org. So I did. I want the translation to be available for other bengali users, who might be interested to download it. Alamgir doesnot have any idea how to do this.
PS. Is it possible to include bn-BD (Bengali-bangladeshi) in offical joomla installation package? If so, who should I send the file to.

Hi nivritchari,

Sounds great.
Could you please send me an email at ole.ottosen@joomla.org with a link to this new project of yours and a little info about your team, etc.

Then I´ll help you get started :)

I didn't exactly said that. This is what I said:

Quote:
To put them in joomla you can either register a new project at joomlacode.org (not sure whther they will allow) or you can join the existing joomla_bengali project and upload the files. Or you may join the existing group and share the translation before you publish.

joomlacode project:http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/joomla_bengali/ (click on Blue Request to join project button )
google group: http://groups.google.com/group/joomla_bengali

Regards

Now it looks you chose to go independently. By the way, current joomla translation policy allows it.

Regards

Hi Alamgir 99
I am sorry for the confusion. I thought you asked me to join a google group. I would have accepted it gladly if you had provided me the link of your project. You may remeber that i contacted you first and asked for advice, you could have sent me the link of your project directly instead of joining a google group. anyway, I surely did a search prior to open a new project. But failed to pullout any list of existing project.

regards
Nivritchari
