Error log

Okay, I'm really really hoping someone can give me some help? my fireboard forum is running extremely slowly and I cannot figure out why. Somebody mentioned that it could be something to do with my error log. I know which look to look at, what should I be looking for regarding the errors, and how do I put it right?
