After I installed community Builder 1.2 RC2, all of my articles went from showing the username as author to the real first and last name! CB says this is a Joomla problem, but clearly it is a CB problem. It was working correctly until installed, many people in their forums are having the same problem. Anyone got a fix?

CB 1.2 RC2 (or any CB prior version) has NEVER modified any Joomla CMS file or database table.

This IMO cannot be a CB issue. If it was then unistalling CB would fix it - does it?

Yes, uninstalling cb fixes it. I don't think cb changes any core files, no. But what Joomla calls the username, it grabs the wrong variable from cb and takes the real name, is what I believe. I am assuming anyhow....I don't really know how these things works. Without cb it uses the username in the articles (when you select the option in the joomla log in module), and when you install CB it uses the real name. Still, cb is so awesome, I don't want to install it. So I just left a note for my users to use the alias.

Could you please clarify which option that is ?

The name/username parameter in the login module of joomla is only for the greeting "Hi userxyz" in the login module as far as I know, and doesn't work correctly in joomla as far as I could check.

imho, this doesn't affect how articles are displayed, but we will make some testing, and check this issue.

I just tried this on my Joomla 1.5.1 test site and both with and without CB 1.2 RC2 the articles on Joomla frontend are displayed with the authors full name!
