Hello

I'm trying to set up our school website using Joomla, and need it to be bi-lingual.

Thanks Geraint for the translation file [in the welcome thread]. How did you get that site you linked to [also in the welcome thread] completely bilingual? Applying the language file all I see are a couple of changes: the text on the contacts page and a couple of buttons/ links.

Many thanks
[a foriegner abroad!! ;)]

I am using a Joomla 1.0.4 installation with a second language and all content can be translated at will using Mambelfish. Do you have this component installed?

No I don't alex. Just looking at the different threads on the topic to see if I can find a good way to do it.

------------

Right - I've installed it and modified the mambofish files as contained in Geraints changes files. I presume I have to modify index.php and index2.php.

Excuse my ignorance but I don't seem to have permissions over those files or [root] folder - to modify/ rename etc. - anybody know what i'm doing wrong?
