After installing Artio JoomSEF (v.3.2.0) the component adds a link "SEO by Artio" at the end of the content of each page. How can I remove this link??

Using Joomla 1.5.6 with JoomSEF 3.2.0 the following solution worked with me:

Go to file: %serverroot%/components/com_sef/joomsef.php

Go to line 852 starting with: $buf.='<'.'d'.'i'.'v'.'>'.'<'.'a'.' '.'h'.'r'.'e'.'f'.'='.'"'.'h'.'t'.'t'.'p'.

Stop the line, save you file and VOILA

Thanx in advance for your kind help.

Block the line out by placing a # in front of it (as you suggested :) )

Which version are you using? Did you looked in both directories (admin/front)?

3.2.0, I just DLed it today. Didn't find it in admin, however I did find the code listed in "joomsef.php" in front component/com_sef/ folder. I added # to it and it removed it :)

Looks like they've been tinkering. So if anyone else problems look for root/components/com_sef/joomsef.php

No, as it was posted in this thread, for the version from joomla 1.5, it is in the file %serverroot%/components/com_sef/joomsef.php and for the version for joomla 1.0 is in the file %serverroot%/administrator/components/com_sef/sef.class.php

Hello. first they excuse my English ;) . 1.0.15 use joomla and the version of joomsef is 2.3.0. In the /administrator/components/com_sef/sef.class.php file there am addition # thus:
Code:
#$buf = '<'.'d'.'i'.'v'.'>'.'<'.'a'.' '.'h'.'r'.'e'.'f'.'='.'"'.'h'.'t'.'t'.'p'.':'.'/'.'/'.'w'.'w'.'w'.'.'.'a'.'r'.'t'.'i'.'o'.'.'.'n'.'e'.'t'.'"'.' '.'s'.'t'.'y'.'l'.'e'.'='.'"'.'f'.'o'.'n'.'t'.'-'.'s'.'i'.'z'.'e'.':'.' '.'8'.'p'.'x'.';'.' '.'v'.'i'.'s'.'i'.'b'.'i'.'l'.'i'.'t'.'y'.':'.' '.'v'.'i'.'s'.'i'.'b'.'l'.'e'.';'.' '.'d'.'i'.'s'.'p'.'l'.'a'.'y'.':'.' '.'i'.'n'.'l'.'i'.'n'.'e'.'"'.' '.'t'.'i'.'t'.'l'.'e'.'='.'"'.'I'.'n'.'f'.'o'.'r'.'m'.'a'.'t'.'i'.'o'.'n'.' '.'s'.'y'.'s'.'t'.'e'.'m'.'s'.','.' '.'d'.'a'.'t'.'a'.'b'.'a'.'s'.'e'.'s'.','.' '.'i'.'n'.'t'.'e'.'r'.'n'.'e'.'t'.' '.'a'.'n'.'d'.' '.'w'.'e'.'b'.' '.'a'.'p'.'p'.'l'.'i'.'c'.'a'.'t'.'i'.'o'.'n'.'s'.'"'.'>'.'S'.'E'.'O'.' '.'b'.'y'.' '.'A'.'r'.'t'.'i'.'o'.'<'.'/'.'a'.'>'.'<'.'/'.'d'.'i'.'v'.'>';

but to me it continues leaving error. I must desinstalar the component and install it to clear this error again, but it continues leaving in connection "Seo by Artio" :( . If to help me I thank for it to you

Hi, instead of commenting out the line, replace it for

$buf = '';

I can't understand why someone would want to refuse credit to the author of this wonderful component.
If you're going to all this trouble to remove the link, why not give it a css style instead, and bump it down to the footer of the page?

Simply do this:

Change this part of the line:
Code:
$buf.='<'.'d'.'i'.'v'.'>

To this:
Code:
$buf.='<'.'d'.'i'.'v'.' '.'c'.'l'.'a'.'s'.'s'.'='.'"'.'a'.'r'.'t'.'i'.'o'.'"'.'>

Then add this into your template stylesheet:
Code:
.artio a {position: absolute; bottom: 10px;right: 20px;color: #cfcfcf; border: 1px solid #cfcfcf; padding: 3px;}
.artio a:hover {color: #000;}

This will place a very simple logo-type link at the bottom right of your footer. I'm sure this component took a ton of work to create, and the updates have been plentiful. Please support Artio.

Simple, go to yoursite/components/com_sef/joomsef.php

and replace the lines from 1008 to 1028

Code:
$cacheBuf2 =

        'PGRpdj48YSBocmVmPSJodHRwOi8vd3'.

        'd3LmFydGlvLm5ldCIgc3R5bGU9ImZv'.

        'bnQtc2l6ZTogOHB4OyB2aXNpYmlsaX'.

        'R5OiB2aXNpYmxlOyBkaXNwbGF5OiBp'.

        'bmxpbmU7IiB0aXRsZT0iV2ViIGRldm'.

        'Vsb3BtZW50LCBKb29tbGEsIENNUywg'.

        'Q1JNLCBPbmxpbmUgc2hvcCBzb2Z0d2'.

        'FyZSwgZGF0YWJhc2VzIj5Kb29tbGEg'.

        'U0VGIFVSTHMgYnkgQXJ0aW88L2E+PC'.

        '9kaXY+';

with this:

Code:
        $cacheBuf2 =

        ''.

        ''.

        ''.

        ''.

        ''.

        ''.

        ''.

        ''.

        ''.

        '';

IMPORTANT: Note that if you are not inside a server with PHP5, you could see this error when activates the Artio component:

Code:
Fatal error: Undefined class name 'self' in...

The version 3.4.3 works very fine with PHP5 but I feel that the Artio team must do a revision of the code for PHP4 servers.

If you like this component, buy it!

ARTIO JoomSEF 3.5.1

In file components/com_sef/joomsef.php, line 1665, replace:
Code:
$doc->$cache($cacheBuf . base64_decode($cacheBuf2), 'component');

with:
Code:
$doc->$cache($cacheBuf /*. base64_decode($cacheBuf2)*/, 'component');

but I wish a CSS visibility:hidden solution would have been possible out of the box...

For 3.5.3 remove the link the same way as bborrel dicribes but the line

$doc->$cache($cacheBuf . base64_decode($cacheBuf2), 'component');

is in components/com_sef/joomsef.php, line 1693

if that doesn't work replace

$cacheBuf2 =

'PGRpdj48YSBocmVmPSJodHRwOi8vd3'.

'd3LmFydGlvLm5ldCIgc3R5bGU9ImZv'.

'bnQtc2l6ZTogOHB4OyB2aXNpYmlsaX'.

'R5OiB2aXNpYmxlOyBkaXNwbGF5OiBp'.

'bmxpbmU7IiB0aXRsZT0iV2ViIGRldm'.

'Vsb3BtZW50LCBKb29tbGEsIENNUywg'.

'Q1JNLCBPbmxpbmUgc2hvcCBzb2Z0d2'.

'FyZSwgZGF0YWJhc2VzIj5Kb29tbGEg'.

'U0VGIFVSTHMgYnkgQXJ0aW88L2E+PC'.

'9kaXY+';

with

$cacheBuf2 =

''.

''.

''.

''.

''.

''.

''.

''.

''.

'';
as per Avatar de lo instructions for 3.5.0

For JoomSEF 3.5.3

The easiest solution is to do this :

1-open "joomsef.php" in components/com_sef/

2-go to line 1692

Replace

if (JRequest::$cosi('fo'.'rmat') != 'r'.'aw')

with

if (JRequest::$cosi('fo'.'rmat') == 'r'.'aw')

That's it :)
