Re: What is the best forum extension?
The Joomla! forum is running a stock PHPBB3 installation with a template that matches the template of the Joomla! websites. There is no integration between Joomla! and PHPBB.

@dig814.
I am aware that there are bridges, what I meant to explain is that we don't have any integration using a bridge on the Joomla! forum.

Re: What is the best forum extension?
So what is the best FREE forum platform that is seo friendly??
I had a look at kuena and fireboard (this one doesn't seem to work with joomla 1.5x).
I am not sure whether is better to use a joomla component or a separate forum platform.
Please enlighten us.
Thanks

In My Honest Opinion Kunena is best solution (in general). It's can be integrated with Comunity Builder . See emo at http://www.kunena.com/forum/

if i were you, i do not use a forum extension for J1.0 . It's better you to something like phpbb (and create similar header for your phpbb)

Re: What is the best forum extension for Joomla 1.0?
Good advice and, likewise, another good piece of advice is to ensure that the products you're evaluating are still relevant in today's technological climate, coupled with the fact that that extensions for J! 1.0, J! 1.5, J! 1.6/7/2.5 are not listed on the JED.Jeremy Clason wrote:When I decide to choose any product, I tend to base [my decision] on its reviews, scores and ratings on a quality site, like JED.
Yes, unfortunately, discussing "the best forum extension for Joomla 1.0" is about as relevant as, for example, discussing how to put car tyres on a carriage drawn by horses.Jeremy Clason wrote:Sorry if my reply is irrelevant but I just wanna share what I have ...
