Hi,
I'm Danh Le Phuoc, GSoC student 2008. As discussing with an administrator (Dao Duy Phong) of Joomla Viet (http://www.joomlaviet.org),the largest Joomla community in Vietnam, who has been prepraring the Joomla Day in Vietnam. From sugguession for Amy Stephan,it's better idea to have an Official Joomla Day with support from Joomla core team. So, I made this post to call people for getting invovled and Joomla's support to make Vietnamse Joomla success.

ps: from Dao Duy Phong : Joomla Viet has 5303 topics with 28558 posts from 6360 members, as he known there some thoundsand of Vietnamse website are using Joomla ( see the list :http://www.joomlaviet.org/forum/index.php/topic,3.0.html, viewtopic.php?f=214&t=54745,sorry for some Vietnamse characters in there)

I would love to attend a JoomlaDay in Vietnam. I speak limited Vietnamese. Tôi đang học Tiếng Việt.

Oh,it's really cool that you're learning Vietnamse and it would be perfect to have you in our Joomla day. Actually, we need the appearance of Joomla core team members in our first Joomla! Day in Vietnam to make it as the Official Joomla events in our coutry. Now we need to know the process of organizing an Joomla! day,so, Brad,could you help us with that when akede away.

@lpdanh: in fact, there are 14678 registered members at joomlaviet.org, 6360 is just the number of forum users

@brad: you can take a look at this address http://www.vcw.com.vn/index.php?lang=en , it is one of the biggest annual IT exhibition in our country, maybe we can register a place in it, that would attract a lot of people.

Time for that exhibition: July 16th to July 19th 2008

I'm going to talk to the phone with Phuoc on Monday and try to get an idea of what you are arranging and how we can include Joomla etc..

We have been organize some small offline meetings in HN & HCM every year. So, with our joomla day, we need experiences from other countries that why we need your help to organize in Vietnam

For all infomations, documents related to joomladay organization pls send to administrator of joomlaviet.org
Coz from now we have alot of think to work.

im suprised that you can speak vietnamese. Hope we'll meet each other at vietnam on some day

I work a lot with the Vietnamese community here in Australia.. it's one of the reasons we are learning.
